Check out our April 2021 recommendations and deals on the Beltline.
If you can find a spot, it’s easiest to park at Ponce City Market. However, parking in the garage under PCM can stressful. There’s little visibility in the garage and it’s difficult to use a parking app because the service is spotty. If it’s during peak business hours, this will probably stress you out.
You can try parking on Highland Ave to avoid the struggle of the PCM parking lot but this will require a little walking down to PCM.
Finally, the last option is to park in midtown near Piedmont Park and walk to PCM using the Eastside Trail of the Beltline.
Dinkies opened this March to bring delicious vegan cheesesteaks to Ponce City Market. It’s located outside on the second floor of PCM, near the central food court on the outside of the building. In the evenings, you’ll need to order takeout for Dinkies at the entrance to Bar Vegan. Also, the line at Bar Vegan can be a bit crazy, so you might want to call (404) 600-6122 to order your food in advance.
You can find the menu at this link: https://menu.iwallet.com/files/BarVeganATLX02K_combined.pdf Dinkies and Bar Vegan are two new places brought to you by the famous, Pinky Cole. You might remember the lines that wrapped around the block at Cole’s Slutty Vegan, the hyper-popular vegan chain restaurant that took Atlanta by storm.
Cole has partnered with Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks owner Derrick Hayes, to bring vegan galore to PCM. Try their impossible cheesesteak with mushroom, onions, peppers, provolone, and more!
Cole also opened Bar Vegan this March in Ponce City Market. Bar Vegan is a fully-vegan bar-restaurant and they’re calling it “bar theater” while making every aspect of the experience totally #instagrammable. From the interior design to the decor and delicious drinks, the atmosphere is amazing!
Depending on the time of day, Bar Vegan may be packed. If you go in the evening on a Friday or Saturday, your wait could be upwards of 3 hours. It’s always best to call (404) 600-6122 in advance and ask how long the wait will be. You can also reserve a table on Resy: https://resy.com/cities/atl/bar-vegan.
After you’ve had a bite to eat and a (few) drinks from PCM, it’s only a 5-minute walk down the Beltline to the Historic Fourth Ward Park. Enjoy the green space in the bustle of the surrounding metro neighborhood. Walk around the park and take some fun pictures with friends.
Now that you’ve checked out two of the newest places in town, let’s finish off with a classic. Ladybird Grove and Mess Hall is a trendy New American bar and restaurant with the perfect spot along the Beltline. They have a variety of great local beers to complement their campfire-themed menu and screened porches. Whether you’re looking for a flavorful frozen drink in a pouch or one of their delicious beers on tap, Ladybird has got what you need.
