Piedmont Park Scavenger Hunt 🎁
Piedmont Park is the place to be in Midtown. We’ve scrambled up the names of some iconic spots and made a scavenger hunt for you. Put on your thinking cap for this one and get out with a couple of friends. After you solve the four-piece riddle, head on over to Henry's in midtown for a bite and a drink at the end of the day.
Prepare for the day with some bottles of water, a bottle of champagne (or two), and a charcuterie board. Pack this in a book bag and head down to Piedmont Park on a sunny day. If you’re down to walk, this scavenger hunt is perfect for you. Take pictures with all the clues and show them at Henry’s. You might get a special prize. ;)
Located in the southeast corner of Piedmont Park, where multiple routes converge into one, there’s a tall black object with green spikes on the top pointing in all different directions. Snap a pic with it and your friends standing in front of the clue. Three more to go.
After you’ve found the first clue, then finding the second is a breeze! Simply continue the path that you’re on, going north on the east side of the park. If you pass the Piedmont Dog park, you’re headed the right way. Take some stairs to a spot where water flows up from the ground. Look down and take a picture standing on the second clue! Two more left.
Now that you’ve found the second clue, there’s a little walk to do. Head on up around the northeast side of the park and pass the Active Oval. There was once a Japanese American artist, who you might know from his design of modern furniture, specifically an iconic table. There’s a playground of sorts dedicated to him and his artwork. You’ll walk up another staircase to find your third clue of the day! Only one more clue to go.
The fourth and final clue is where you’ll be spending the rest of the time in the park. From here, you’ve got a view of the city and it’s not something you can miss. Simply walk down from the third cue and around the lake a bit. You should see a hill of sorts and this is the trek you should take. The view is better from the top and this is the final clue of the day! Great work!
After spending the day in the park, a drink and a snack sound delightful! When everyone is ready, pack up your things. Walk on over to Henry’s in Midtown and show them the clue pictures you took. Henry’s is Atlanta’s best gastro-pub with the biggest deck - complete with comfort food in an environment that feels like home. This is the perfect spot for a weekend brunch with friends!
