About Shady Valley Park
Shady Valley Park is situated just off of Shady Valley Drive between Buford Highway and Roxboro Road. The park is suitable for kids as there is a playground area with excellent playground equipment for fun.
The whole park is well shaded by tall, beautiful, and mature trees. This is a major plus considering how hot Atlanta is.
For lovers of sports, there is a large soccer field ideal for pick-up games. There is also a tennis and basketball court. The park has picnic benches and tables scattered all over, making it perfect for sitting with friends and grabbing a quick lunch.
There is also a nice little free library. You can grab a book to pass the time. Dogs are allowed within the parks but should be on a leash. A beautiful mural is just adjacent to the play area.
The only area of concern is there is no bathroom within the park, but there is a porta-potty.
